A notice from Big Fat Panda

It is with broken hearts we must announce the loss of our Andy Laidlaw.

Andy passed away peacefully early this morning in the Edinburgh Royal. We understand how hard this news is to take, and it is a testament to his kind, caring, loving character just how many lives Andy touched.

We also ask that you keep his daughters in your thoughts.

Andy was the best of us, and his passing takes a piece of us all with him.

We were delighted to have been invited over to Ireland this year to play the Irish Ska & Reggae Festival. Although it involved a lot of travelling it was well worthwhile, with lots of fun being had by all.

Thanks to the organisers for inviting us and looking after us and thank you to the audience for dancing and joining in the fun.

It was a privilege to take part in another successful British Food Bank Skank, this time organised by “Over The Bridge Events” and held in the Windsor Hotel, Kirkaldy.

Entry to the Ska night event was 1 bag of shopping and by the end of the night over 1000kgs of food had been collected! This was later donated to the Glenrothes Foodbank and the Kirkcaldy Foodbank.

A big thank you to “Over The Bridge Events” for organising this charity event and to all of the bands for giving up their time to made the night such big a success – Big Fat Panda, The Skapones, Roots System, Rudebeard and The Doghoose Ska Band
